»Upcoming Releases - June 2007 Edition
  "Less staff, less calories?"

Hi folks, Wolfdogg here. You may remember me from the various weekly releases posts I make...or my numerous reviews. Anyway, this time, we've got the upcoming releases for June 2007. Please keep in mind that these dates were last updated on May 29th, 2007, so they may not be completely accurate. Sooo, let's begin...

Nintendo DS

Hiite Utaeru DS Guitar M-06
Estimated Release Date: June 4th, 2007

Eh, I don't know what to say about this game. It isn't like a Guitar Hero/Guitar Freaks rip-off, it's more of a guitar simulator, which allows you to control the chords with the D-Pad and strum with your stylus. Cool idea, but that alone a game does not make.

Anticipation: *yawn* ~Wolfdogg

Planet Puzzle League
Estimated Release Date: June 4th, 2007

Although Planet Puzzle League is a terrible title - do NOT look past it! Planet Puzzle League is actually an update of Panel De Pon (or Tetris Attack, as more commonly known in the US) that looks to be done quite well. It may not have Yoshi characters, but the presentation seems to up there with Meteos. On top of that, Panel de Pon seems like it was made for a touchscreen. Oh, and did I mention Wi-Fi?

Anticipation: This is a game that I'm definitely not going to go without. This is a buy for fans of Tetris Attack. ~Knives

Cookie & Cream
Estimated Release Date: June 6th, 2007

Not the ice cream flavor, the video game! You may remember the original on the PS2, considered innovative as you could control two characters, each with one analog stick. Well, it's coming to the DS, and it's more innovative than ever! This time, you control Cookie on the top screen as he navigates through the stage, while Cream occupies the touch screen, where you disarm traps and solve puzzles. There are also a couple of multiplayer modes, a two-player co-op and a four-player battle mode, which can be played over Wi-Fi.

Anticipation: Actually, this sounds fun. Maybe I'll pick it up. ~Wolfdogg

Prey the Stars
Estimated Release Date: June 4th, 2007

Well, I don't know that much about this game. Apparently, the premise is somewhat like Katamari Damacy, only instead of rolling things into a ball to create a star, you play as a dog who eats things in order to create them. Weird, right? Eh, who knows, maybe Koei's onto something.

Anticipation: Well, this game sounds like it was conceived during a bad acid trip, but who knows, it could be fun. ~Wolfdogg

Dragon Ball Z: Harukanaru Densetsu
Estimated Release Date: June 5th, 2007

Another video game based on an anime created many years after the series ended. It looks to be an interesting game if you're into the DBZ series, and it even looks like it's somewhat based on the Game Boy Color video game "Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors", which was a pretty good game. So here's hoping that this game turns out as good if not better.

Anticipation: Hoping it's as good as the GBC game. (7/10) ~ALttP

Chicken Shoot
Estimated Release Date: June 5th, 2007

This game has the most absurd name I have ever seen slapped onto a video game, and I have absolutely no idea what it is. I'm flirting with the idea that it's an intergalactic sandbox-type space battle game where you shoot chickens at your opponents, but it's most likely just a game which could have been condensed into a mini-game in Mario Party.

Anticipation: ABILLION. that's all that need be said. ~ALttP

ATV / Monster Truck Mayhem
Estimated Release Date: June 8th, 2007

It's two racing games in one! One is ATV, the other MONSTER TRUCKS! ...that's all I've got.

Anticipation: NOTHING! NOTHING! NOTHING! ~Wolfdogg
